The educational manual “Foreign Language in the Service Sector” is intended for students of vocational schools, colleges and higher education institutions, studying in the fields of “Tourism”, ‘Hospitality’, “Restaurant Service”, “Social and Cultural Service”, as well as other specialties related to the service industry. The manual is focused on the development of professionally-oriented foreign language skills (primarily English) and is aimed at the formation of skills necessary for effective communication with customers, colleagues and partners in the service industry. The aim of the manual is to develop students' communicative competence in typical situations of professional activity. It contributes to the expansion of vocabulary, the formation of oral and written speech skills, the ability to conduct a dialog, prepare business correspondence, as well as to understand professionally relevant information. The manual can be used in the educational process as a basic or additional teaching tool, as well as for independent training of students. It will also be useful for young specialists who are already working in the service sector and who want to improve their foreign language skills in a professional context.
